Ok...after a bit of a fussy first thanksgiving...we are posting the 9 month pictures and a thanksgiving one too! Gwennie woke up with a cold yesterday...runny nose and cough. Poor girl. We tried some table food...but she would just gag and not eat it. I think the texture is not something she likes/is ready for yet. Maybe she will be ready by Christmas. She's feeling better today and more like herself! I'm also posting a picture of the hair clip I made to match her turkey shirt! Enjoy!

Update...way past due...
Sorry that I've been MIA on this blog. Busy busy busy these days. Gwennie is growing like a weed. She's 9 months today...pictures will be posted later today. At her doctor's appointment she weighed 16.1lbs and was 27in long. She's petite, but the doctor says that she's making good gains for her percentile. She is also ahead in communication and fine motor skills. She needs to work on her gross motor...standing. She likes to stand on her tip-toes. We need to work with her on standing flat-footed. She is not crawling yet, but she is rolling and scooting all over the place. She says "Dada" and tries to say Bella, but it sounds a lot like "Dada." No "Mama" yet. Here are some little projects that I've been working on to get ready for Gwennie's First Turkey Day! (Doctor also said that Gwennie can have table food too! So excited! Turkey and mashed potatoes for her!!!) There will also be pictures later of the new bows that I will make for her today too...keeping busy...I seem to have a creative streak at the moment. Not a usual thing for me. :-D

Happy 4th!
I know it's been quite awhile since I've posted, so I apologize to those that follow this...busy summer with finishing up my class at Eureka. Now that it's done...I'll have more time. Here's what we've been up to...
big girl! 4 months old! Gwennie went to the doctor this month and she now weighs 12lbs8oz and is 24.5in long! She was given the "green light" for rice cereal to help practice eating from a spoon. Can't wait til she gets to eat more foods! She is babbling away and even occasionally laughing. Her tummy troubles seem to be resolved. (She would go 10 days without pooping...and it was worrying us. I looked it up online and found a suggestion for the mom to eat yogurt. I guess the bacteria in it is good for her system and helps to jump start it. It worked! :-D *Just a little tip for anyone who needs it* ) She's growing up so fast. |

3 Months!
Hi everyone!
Gwennie is three months now! I can't believe how time flies. She's talking so much more and grabbing things with her little hands. She's trying to roll over and holding her head up really well! I am almost done with work for the school year. June 2nd is our last day. It will be so nice to be home with Gwennie! I still have one class to finish up at Eureka this summer, but that will be done in July! I take my special education certification test on June 4th. It will be so nice to have that done too!
Here are some cute pictures...three month pictures and some others. However, her adorable little smile seems to be quite elusive when the camera is around...Enjoy!

Road Trip!
Well, yesterday Gwennie took her longest road trip yet! We went and visited her Great Grandma Nolan and Great Aunt Kathleen for the day. We ate lunch and dinner and spent some time catching up and taking pictures. One outfit change, but...Gwennie did great and Great Grandma loved holding her! It was so good to visit!

All worn out...

*Spring time*
Hi everyone!
It's been quite busy around here. Lots to do with work, church, school, family, and friends. It seems like we're always going and going. Gwennie is doing well. Some tummy troubles with gas pains, but overall she's doing great! She is sleeping on average about 6-7 hours a night which helps out a lot! This Momma needs her rest! :-D I am currently taking a class two nights a week @ Eureka College and my parents have been babysitting her. Those are long days, but I love seeing her when work and school are said and done. She is smiling much more now and even starting to giggle! It is too cute! She has started clasping her hands together and putting anything she can in her mouth. Gwennie is putting weight on her legs and acting like she's trying to stand up now too! She's progressing along just fine! Today, on the way home from Mandy's house(our youth pastor's wife who babysits her on the days that my mom can't), she was just chatting away in the back seat the whole time. I love it! We are so blessed to have such a perfect little miracle!
